This 12-day tour begins with visits to four UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. We also hike in the beautiful Annapurna region, one of the most popular trekking regions in the world, visit popular landmarks in the beautiful lake city of Pokhara and end our tour with stunning nature walks and a jungle safari in the tropical jungles of Chitwan.

Cloud and turbulent weather are regular phenomena along the Himalaya range. It is therefore possible that domestic flights from Kathmandu to or from Lukla may have to be delayed for a few hours or even cancelled for a day or more.

Fortunately this does not happen very often during the high seasons of March to May or September to November, but you need to plan for this possibility.

As a safeguard, we recommend that you add on a couple of extra days after your trek, before you fly from Kathmandu to your onward destination.

Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal

Our representative will welcome you at Kathmandu Airport and you will be then transferred to your hotel. There will be option for you to stroll in the streets of Thamel and catch the glimpse of old Kathmandu. The day will end with a Nepalese cuisine dinner. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full day sightseeing

After having breakfast, you will meet our tour guide and visit the Monkey Temple “Swyambhunath”. You can see the entire Kathmandu Valley below. You will also visit the oldest Buddhist Shrine “Boudhanath”, followed by sightseeing of Kathmandu Durbar Square which is known as the temple of living goddess. Then you will drive back to the hotel.

Day 3: Full-day sightseeing

After breakfast, you will visit the sacred temple of Hindu “Pashupatinath”, dedicated to Lord Shiva. After having lunch, our tour guide will take you to the Patan Durbar Square which is known as the city of architecture and fine arts. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 4: Drive to Pokhara

After breakfast, we will be driving to Pokhara, which will take around 7 hours. As it will be a long drive, you will have some refreshing breaks on the way. After lunch, you can have a short rest on banks of the Trishuli River before we continue our drive to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 5:  Sightseeing, Hike to Australian Camp: 1:30 hrs drive, 2 hours trek

Following breakfast this will be a sightseeing day where you will be taken to the Devi’s Fall, also known as Hell’s Fall, and the Gupteshwor Cave. It has some big hall-size rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all fours. In the afternoon we have a 1.5 hours drive to Kande, before starting our hike towards Australian Camp. It will take approximately 1 – 2 hours to reach Australian Camp.

You can rest and relax at the camp with beautiful views of mountain range such as Annapurna South Range (7219m), Machhapuchhre, also known as Fishtail Peak (6993m), Lamjung Himal (6983m) and Hiunchuli (6441m).

Dinner will be served at tea house. Overnight at tea house / tented camp.

Day 6: Hike back to Phedi: 2 hours; Drive to Pokhara: 1 hour

On this day, we will head back to Pokhara, after enjoying the sunrise and breakfast.

After breakfast we will hike down to Phedi via Dhampus village, which takes around 2 hrs. We then take the vehicle from Phedi to Pokhara for 1 hour. After having lunch at the hotel, you will get chance to enjoy the evening life of Pokhara. You can also hire cycles and go around the streets of Pokhara.

Along with that, boating in Phewa lake will be the best experience you will encounter. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 7: Fly to Lumbini: 30 min flight

In the morning, you will take a small plane flight to Lumbini, one of the world’s most important spiritual sites, home to the historic birthplace of the Buddha. It is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE.

In the afternoon you will be visiting Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar and the Puskarni. Overnight at Lumbini.

Day 8: Morning explore of monastery around Lumbini; Drive to Sauraha: 4 hours

In the morning we visit a different monastery. Following an afternoon drive to Chitwan, you will explore Nepal’s first National Park, Chitwan National Park for the next couple of days. Overnight stay at jungle resort.

Day 9: Full day jungle activities

Today’s activities include an elephant/jeep safari, canoeing and bird watching. An experienced and knowledgable guide will brief you about how rare, endangered and vulnerable species of wildlife are being conserved and protected in Chitwan.

You will also learn how Nepal’s first National Park is now a shining example of conservation success. At night, enjoy cultural performances by the typical Tharu tribe and dance alongside them! Overnight stay at jungle resort.

Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu: 6 hours

After breakfast we will be driving back to Kathmandu and have lunch on the way. You will get chance to see the natural sceneries throughout the drive.

Day 11: Half day sightseeing

After breakfast, you will be taken to explore the ancient historic Bhaktapur Durbar Square and its monuments. Along with that, you will observe the typical Newari lifestyle and interact with them.

You can use the afternoon to capture the essence of the old Kathmandu by walking around streets of Thamel and can shop for various unique products available.

Day 12: Departure

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel and you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your destination.
